PropTech startup HouseEazy has successfully secured ₹150 crore ($16.8 million) in Series B funding led by Accel, with participation from existing investors Chiratae Ventures, Antler, and venture debt funds. The funding round positions the company to capitalize on India's vast but underserved ₹100 billion secondary real estate market.
Full-Stack Property Solution
Founded in 2021 by Tarun Sainani and Deepak Bhatia, HouseEazy operates a comprehensive marketplace for resale homes, targeting the largely fragmented and offline secondary real estate sector. The platform's full-stack model encompasses the entire property transaction journey, from price discovery to final ownership transfer.
The company's proprietary AI-powered pricing engine, built on over 2 million data points, provides real-time, transparent pricing to sellers, helping unlock optimal property values. For buyers, HouseEazy offers AR/VR-powered exploration tools, enabling virtual property tours and confident purchase decisions.
"Indian consumers have long awaited a safe, one-stop solution for buying and selling homes. HouseEazy was founded with the vision of transforming the entire home ownership journey—built on the pillars of trust, speed, and convenience," said co-founder Deepak Bhatia.
Proven Market Traction
In just three years of operations, HouseEazy has facilitated over 2,500 property transactions worth more than ₹2,000 crore, demonstrating strong market acceptance of its tech-enabled approach. The platform claims to reduce typical resale home transaction timelines from the industry norm of 5-6 months to just a few weeks.
Currently operational in Noida, Ghaziabad, and Gurugram, HouseEazy has built a network of over 4,000 channel partners, establishing strong local market presence in the National Capital Region.
Technology and Service Innovation
HouseEazy's technology stack includes advanced features such as instant price discovery, pre-verified property titles, and immersive 3D virtual experiences. The platform also provides comprehensive support services including mortgage assistance and legal documentation, addressing common pain points in property transactions.
The company's approach targets the significant trust and transparency issues that plague India's resale property market, where buyers and sellers often struggle with price discovery, legal verification, and transaction security.
Expansion Strategy
The fresh capital will fuel HouseEazy's expansion into additional tier-1 markets including Pune, Mumbai, and Bengaluru. The funding will also support technology advancement, team expansion, and brand development initiatives.
"With this new funding, we're ready to expand HouseEazy into new cities and unlock adjacent business lines," said co-founder Tarun Sainani, indicating the company's plans to broaden its real estate services portfolio.
Investor Perspective and Market Opportunity
"India's housing market is enormous but lacks trustworthy and structured solutions for consumers. HouseEazy's tech-led, consumer-first model solves some of the biggest pain points," commented Pratik Agarwal, Partner at Accel, highlighting the market opportunity and HouseEazy's differentiated approach.
The investment follows HouseEazy's Series A round in August 2024, when it raised $7 million (₹58.7 crore) led by Chiratae Ventures, demonstrating continued investor confidence in the company's execution and market potential.
PropTech Sector Growth
HouseEazy's funding success reflects growing investor interest in PropTech solutions addressing India's complex real estate market. With increasing digital adoption and consumer demand for transparent, efficient property transactions, technology-enabled platforms are gaining traction across residential and commercial segments.
The secondary real estate market represents a massive opportunity in India, where property transactions have traditionally been opaque, time-consuming, and fraught with verification challenges. HouseEazy's success could catalyze broader digital transformation in the sector.
Future Outlook
As HouseEazy scales operations and expands geographically, the company aims to establish itself as India's leading resale property platform. The focus on technology innovation, service quality, and market expansion positions HouseEazy to capture significant market share in the country's evolving PropTech landscape.
