- 16 Nov, 2025
Between November 10 and November 15, 2025, 25 Indian startups collectively raised $169.28 million in funding, comprising 4 growth-stage deals and 20 early-stage transactions. While this marks a 39.4% increase from the previous week, it reflects the continued cautious optimism among investors as India's startup ecosystem navigates a maturing funding landscape.
Finnable, a lending-focused fintech platform, emerged as the week's largest fundraise, securing $56.5 million from Z47 and TVS Capital. This capital will accelerate Finnable's push into rural and underbanked markets, leveraging embedded finance and digital lending infrastructure.
AI application startup Attentive AI raised $30.5 million in Series B funding led by Insight Partners, with participation from Vertex Ventures, Tenacity Ventures, and Info Edge Ventures. The company is scaling its enterprise AI solutions focused on customer engagement automation.
Tetr College, a digital learning platform, secured $18 million from Owl Ventures and Bertelsmann India Investments. The edtech sector continues to see investor confidence despite previous market corrections, with Tetr College focusing on job-oriented skills training.
Fintech emerged as the most funded sector this week, led by Finnable's large round. The continued strength in financial technology underscores India's digital payments revolution and the expanding credit infrastructure reaching tier-2 and tier-3 cities.
Edtech saw renewed interest with multiple deals including Codeyoung ($5M Series A from 12 Flags Group and Enzia Ventures) alongside Tetr College. Despite past challenges in the sector, investors are betting on practical, career-focused educational platforms.
AI and deeptech startups continued to attract capital, with Attentive AI's Series B highlighting the growing enterprise adoption of AI-driven solutions across industries.
The early-stage segment showed resilience with 10 startups at the seed stage raising $12.4 million this week, up from $11.9 million in the prior week. This signals sustained grassroots entrepreneurial activity and investor appetite for early-stage innovation.
Notable early-stage deals included mental health platform MindTalk's $7.3M seed round, medtech firm HRS Navigation, and D2C brand QuickShift.
Bengaluru and Delhi-NCR remained the leading startup hubs, co-leading with the highest number of funding deals. Mumbai, Hyderabad, Pune, and Chennai also saw significant activity, reinforcing India's multi-city startup ecosystem.
GVFL was the most active startup investor this week, backing multiple ventures including Brandworks Technologies, HRS Navigation, and DOCO. Institutional investors like Insight Partners, Owl Ventures, and Z47 led major growth-stage rounds.
As November 2025 progresses, Indian startup funding remains below the $200 million weekly mark seen in previous boom periods. However, the consistent deal flow, sectoral diversification, and early-stage momentum indicate ecosystem maturity rather than weakness.
With PhysicsWallah's upcoming IPO and Capillary Technologies raising ₹394 crore from anchor investors, public market exits continue to provide liquidity pathways. India's startup funding landscape in late 2025 reflects a recalibration toward sustainable growth, profitability, and strategic capital deployment.
The Indian startup ecosystem continues its journey toward mature, sustainable growth—balancing innovation with fiscal discipline as it heads into 2026.
